'The start of one of Australia's great journeys'The Spirit of Tasmania operates two vessels between Devonport and Melbourne daily. Normal sailings are an overnight crossing departing at 7.30pm with you arriving at your destination at 6.00am. During peak times there are additional 'day time' sailings to cater for increased visitor numbers.
There is a good selection of accommodation options available onboard, ranging from the Ocean View Recliners for the budget conscious, to Luxurious deluxe cabins with stunning ocean views from your two large portholes.
Bring your own car and have the flexibility of bringing as much luggage as you like. Save on hire car and drive exactly where you want to.
Facilities on board include: A restaurant and eatery, several bars and deck areas to relax in, children’s playroom and games arcade, cinema and live entertainment as well as a souvenir shop and travel information area.The Devonport Visitor centre has an online reservations system and can provide you with instant availability and ticketing.

The Devonport Visitor Centre is the depot for Tassielink coaches and can also book for Redline Coaches. Both services offer extensive timetables throughout the state.
